I could not believe my eyes when I saw this natural beauty! This place is pleasure paradise. Almost perfect touristic place. Both sides of the lagoon are surrounded with colorful hotels, apartments, villas, and the center of the coastal area is clustered with restaurants, stores, beaches... Two street away from this touristic facade is the heart of the place where you can see and live true Mexico. Something is always being built or fixed. Colorful markets full of fruits and vegetables of all kinds, street buzz, kind hosts ready to do some business.

I am still under impression. Together with the name of Zihuatanejo you may usually hear about another town, Ixtapa. It is interesting to mention that Zihuatanejo means the city of beautiful women or even dark complexion women... I still don't understand why they always mention them together since Ixtapa is some 30 minutes away from Zihuatanjeo.

It is evident here that tourism is the most important activity so everything is adjusted to it. New roads, new hotels are built. But, to know this province better, you must book an excursion in the agency or simply pick your own route and head into a desired direction. In the nearbys of Ixtapa there are many unspoiled sand beaches, small places still living their peaceful life.

As much as I love contemporary world and its benefits, this has its charm hard to resist. In order to better understand why am I so enchanted with this world, take a look at the pictures... peopla on the streets, minding their own business, enjoying what they have... In one word, enchanting!
