Eh, when I remeber all the serials I watched as a young kid... Miami Vice... good cop, bad cop... If you are lucky enough to fly above Miami on a sunny day, you may grasp a splendid view. The town is huge. You may notice downtown on one side, with high buildings, port full of large ships. On the other side there are villas and pool houses, where lives the enitre creme de la creme of Florida. We all know that retired people love to spend the rest of their lives in this mild tropic climath, and much slower life than in the north of United States. But it happens thanks to the vicinity of neighbours such as Mexico, Puerto Rico, Caribbean, where people live a slow carefree life, that pleases me personally very much. International airport is very near to the complex of hotels, and if you still don't know where to stay, feel free to pick one since they provide service of decent quality, with free access to fast Internet connection in the most of them.

The business center itself, the downtown, consists of business skyscrapers, parking lots, stores of this and that, and you may meet people from all over the world. It is interesting that in Miami knowledge of Spanish may help you more than knowledge of English language, we all know why. Let me give you a piece of technical advice. Do not get fulled with prices of various technical goods in the downtown. You have dozens of stores of a kind outside of the center, with suspicious quality merchandise. Avoid to shop tech goods here. Look for specialized stores such as Best buy or Target. As a traveler you will surely want to check your electronic mail, which won't be any problem at all. In downtown there are several Internet caffe bars. Several hundred meters from the business part of town there is Bayside. Right next to the coast you have a shopping centar, where you can relay a little bit after you run away from „concrete“ part of the Miami. Variety of stores, shops, tech goods to fine clothes, several restaurants by the seaside with the view to expensive yachts will surely please you. However, there is not much choice since it is an American lifestyle...

Wherever you decide to go, in Miami you must take a taxi. Everything is big here, as well as the distances. Very popular destination to go out to, day or night, is South beach, the most popular beach in Miami. Ten minutes with a cab, 20 dollars to the cab driver and there you are. South beach is a show-off place in every sense of the expression... promenade. There is a long sandy beach on one side which is the fullest naturally in the summer season. On teh other side restaurants, hotels, bars where you may come to have a breakfast, lunch or a dinner. When the night comes, this promenade turns into the sin city... Exotic dancers, „fun2attend” parties, crazy stuff, girls of all shapes, guys full of chains around their necks, expensive cars... If you prefer night dynamic and luxurious night entertainment this is the right place for you. South beach is an expensive place to live in. Modern high buildings attract the attention... with the view onto the yachts... hmmm lovely scene I admit... Naturally, this town also has not so friendly neighbourhoods... so if you have nothing to look for there, try to stay away...

The story is not long. I have spent several months in Miami and usually did spend my time in particular parts of it... The most characteristic moments I have captured with my digital camera... Miami is beautiful, big town with the climath most people would love to enjoy in. In the past couple of years, this part of the world is jeopardized with the hurricanes, so it is not always fun to be around... mostly in the summer period. If you don't have much money, don't even think to come here because you'll get depressed or spent hell of a lot of money to whoknowswhat... In any case, don't miss it. Enjoy the picture gallery.
