Finally in this town! Nobody ever sleeps here! Acapulco spreads along the entire length of this natural sand basin. It is actually a long sand beach, full of bars, restaurants and hotels. Where do I begin, so many things ... Coexistence of the two worlds is almost “tangible”. Rich and poor. Million of taxis on the streets, most of them “VW Beetle”. The minute you step out on the street, when local vendors realize you are a foreigner, you will be offered large variety of T-shirts, caps, necklaces… Every taxi driver tries to convince you that you really need the taxi ride, and they are usually recommending the locations interesting for a visit, as well as the spots for the cheapest women! Very well known cliff divers, are right here in this crazy town, make sure it is the first thing you see in Acapulco. The place is situated in the centre of the town, easy to reach. In order to see it, you must buy a ticket. If you belong to a group, i.e. you came organized, the ticket is included. You will understand here what is the souvenir vendors buzz…

Town centre is traffic madhouse. Traffic signs and traffic lights don’t mean much here, neither there are many. Driving experience is something you gain with time here. I was always thrilled with the option that a store doesn’t have to have a door here, even handy shops or other “rather serious” shops. . You can drive yourself in with a motorbike! Policemen walk around with the bullet-proof shirts and a rifle in their hands. To a European like me very unusual scene. Buses contribute to this patchwork and diversity of the town. How is the local traffic organized, I really can’t say, but the drawings on them are nothing but art. The most common motives are fairy tale and Hollywood movies characters. From the part of town that belongs to a small, ordinary man, I’m taking you to the part reserved for the showbiz stars and Mexican wealth birds… The most gorgeous spots on the beach are taken by the hotels, up to huge luxurious hill of villas beetling over the town. Every single person that means something in the world of film and music have a real estate here. Their luxurious quarters are protected with high walls providing them so desired privacy. It is impossible o reach this zone. But on this side there is a magnificent lookout to Acapulco! You must see this, simply amazing. The view seizes from one to the other end of the bay… You cannot imagine what a splendid scene it is by night!
